After almost a year in planning, we had our wedding and honeymoon in beautiful Bali, a true paradise. We have never been to Bali at all and our first visit was a dream come true. From the moment we stepped off the plane after a 30 hour flight, we knew we had made the right choice. Relaxation is in the air in Bali, it is really hard to not lay back and enjoy the sun. We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at the stunning St. Regis resort. With the help of our lovely wedding manager, Dwi, we were able to really enjoy our time at the resort despite our overloaded schedule of the wedding. The lagoon swimming pool in the result is to die for, the service we received from each and every employee within the hotel was absolutely world class. It really doesn’t get better than this in the region. After the wedding, we spent our time exploring different hotels/resorts throughout the area ranging from traditional Bali themed to the on the edge post modern themed. We took our time to explore the local side of Bali in Ubud where we mountain biked from the mountain areas down to the town center and back. Uluwatu was eye opening, watching and listening to the waves of the Indian ocean crash upon the cliff of Uluwatu while being with the one that you love is more than romantic, it is simply an unreal feeling. We will not forget our time in Bali, a place of love.
